Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg
2/3 cup chocolate chips
1tsp vanilla essence


Directions:

Cream shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla together.

Blend dry ingredients together. Add dry mix to the creamed mixture. Blend well. Add chocolate chips by hand. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes.
